    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  
    • Operates vacuum cleaners, auto scrubbers, carpet extractors, sweepers, and high-speed burnishers.
    • Keeps equipment in good working order. Immediately reports defective equipment to supervisor.
    • Cleans all glass using proper cleaning chemicals and equipment.
    • Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, wood/composite surfaces, metal surfaces, and trim using proper cleaning chemicals and equipment.
    • Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators and elevator tracks, stairways, and locker rooms, and other campus areas using correct techniques and chemicals.
    • Empties trash receptacles daily, including feminine hygiene disposal containers, making sure that the container is clean, and a new liner is provided.
    • Sweeps, dust mops, damp mops, scrubs/strips, and waxes all hard floors, steps, and stairways using proper chemicals and equipment.
    • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using proper chemicals and equipment.
    • Dusts all hard surfaces, furniture, and equipment.
    • Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
    • Cleans whiteboard, erasers, and eraser trays using proper equipment.
    • Empties wastebaskets. Places all recycling items in proper containers.
    • Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
    • Replenishes bathroom supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap as needed.
    • Cleans custodian closet.
    • Empties vacuum cleaner or changes bag between half and three-quarters full changes belt as needed.
    • Moves furniture and other items within a building, as directed, to ensure proper cleaning.
    • Sets up tables and chairs in the auditorium or hall.
    • Must attend training and development classes and/or sessions as directed by the Facilities Manager.
    • Maintains levels of attendance, punctuality, and appearance as required by departmental standards.

    THE POSITION
    Eaglebrook School actively seeks a full-time employee to work in the Department of Safety & Security. Reporting to the Director of Safety & Security, Security Officers at Eaglebrook School implement a community-based support model for safety and security, while acting as first responders to campus emergencies.

    The position will staff Wednesday through Sunday from 11 p.m. - 7 a.m. when school is in session, and flex during school breaks. The successful candidates will also be available to assist with schedule coverage, campus events, and special details as needed on a 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Emergency Response
    Officers are required to respond to and assist with all emergency calls, including but not limited to fire alarms, security alarms, door alarms, medicals, and 911 emergency calls. Officers are required to investigate any reports of suspicious activity. When necessary, officers are required to activate the campus emergency notification system.

    Safety & Security Functions

    Officers are required to proactively patrol campus by foot, bicycle, and vehicle, answer all calls for service, ensure the physical security of buildings, unlock/lock buildings by schedule and request, conduct fire and safety code inspections, monitor security cameras, alarm and disarm security alarms, direct traffic, cross pedestrians, and promote the safety and well-being of all the community members on campus.

    Community Relations

    Officers are required to provide support to the campus community by establishing positive and collaborative relations within the community. Officers are encouraged to engage in appropriate conversation with community members, to proactively assist with problem-solving, and to educate community members about campus safety and security. While working, officers are required to attend all-community events such as, but not limited to mealtimes, assemblies, and sporting events.

    Administrative Functions
    Officers are required to document all campus activity through a daily activity log and to complete reports in a timely manner. Officers are also required to document and report findings of all fire code and safety inspections. Officers are required to attend training on or off campus as scheduled.     Eaglebrook School seeks a licensed clinician who can be available for overnight/weekend on-call counseling services.  The clinician needs to be available to answer on-call phone calls and come to campus as needed two nights during the week and every other weekend. On-call starts at 3 p.m. during the weekdays and ends at 7 a.m. Weekends begin at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon and ends on Monday morning at 7 a.m. On-call services are only required when school is in session.

    Prepare and serve meals to Eaglebrook students and faculty by following recipes while observing regulated sanitation protocols and standards. Responsible for proper processing or disposing of returned food. Clean and sanitize food prep stations and surfaces. Maintain a sense of urgency and understanding of when tasks must be complete. When necessary aid in all other areas of the dining services. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

    Responsibilities and Duties
    • Maintains a clean and orderly work station in the kitchen to the standards set by the department.
    • Aware and capable of addressing special dietary needs properly.
    • Receives and stocks inventory, rotates products and alerts of products to order.
    • Follows standardized recipes to prepare and expedite food for meal service’s.
    • Washes dishes, cleans and sanitizes food surfaces, empties trash and cleans the floor after every service.
    • Aids in dining hall setup/cleanup.

    • Three years experience in a high volume food service establishment.

  • Academic Support Teacher

    The Academic Support Department is dedicated to helping students become confident, independent learners. There is an emphasis on teaching general study skills, organization, and time management, in addition to supporting the students' growth as readers and writers. Typically this role entails teaching four sections of Academic Support, all with between 1-3 students. Candidates who would be enthusiastic about coaching sports and contributing to the residential program will be prioritized.
