    Position Title: Communications Associate
    Position Type: 12-month, full-time, Monday–Friday (8-hour shift, with occasional to frequent overtime on evenings and weekends)
    Work Location: In person at 271 Pine Nook Road, Deerfield, MA
    Salary Range:  $25 - 32/hour
     
    Position Summary
     
    Eaglebrook School is seeking a Communications Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated communicator who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. The Communications Associate writes accurate and engaging content for our school website, social media, and print materials; keeps parents informed of schedules for weekend activities and upcoming events through regular e-newsletters; and maintains information on the website needed for internal and external use. This role is also responsible for capturing and editing photos and videos of school events and requires immersion in the ebb and flow of the Eaglebrook School academic year. The Communications Associate reports directly to the Director of Advancement 
     
    Primary Duties and Responsibilities
     
    • Write accurate and engaging content for news stories, social media, print materials, and other publications; gather and format information from departments to inform parents about schedules, deadlines, and special events through e-newsletters and web pages
    • Follow and update the annual Communications content calendar to ensure timely, strategic content delivery
    • Collaborate with Admissions, Advancement, and other departments to create audience-focused content
    • Maintain and update the school website, ensuring content is current and aligned with the school’s mission and marketing goals
    • Cover school events (photos, video, interviews) and translate them into valuable content for internal and external audiences
    • Select images and videos to complement the copy and reflect the school’s mission
    • Edit videos and photographs for various platforms and communications
    • Organize photos and videos for easy access in communications materials
    • Assist in creating marketing collateral (digital and print) consistent with the school’s brand
    • Contribute creatively to marketing campaigns that promote the school’s mission and engage students, families, alumni, and other stakeholders
    • Incorporate feedback from Communications team members and other stakeholders
    • Proofread communications, website, and social media drafts for accuracy, consistency, flow, and brand representation
    • Develop and update the shot list for staff photographers. Manage implementation
    • Provide administrative support and back-up support to the Director of Advancement
    • Be prepared to work unconventional hours to capture school events and activities throughout the school year, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
    • Perform additional related duties as assigned
     
    Desired Qualifications
     
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications design, journalism, or a related field
    • Strong writing skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging content for a variety of audiences and platforms
    • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
    • Willingness to receive and incorporate feedback
    • Experience with social media content creation and management
    • Basic Graphic Design skills (experience with Adobe Suite, Canva, or similar tools is a plus)
    • Comfort with capturing and editing photos and videos
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Creative and positive attitude with a passion for working with students
    • Experience in the education sector is a plus, but not required

    THE POSITION
    Eaglebrook School actively seeks part-time employees to work in the Department of Safety & Security. Reporting to the Director of Safety & Security, Security Officers at Eaglebrook School implement a community-based support model for safety and security, while serving as the primary responders to campus emergencies.
    The vacant position will staff campus events and will be available to provide school transportation off campus on a per-diem basis. The successful candidate will be available to staff during the week and on the weekend in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Public Safety
    Officers are required to work as part of a team to welcome guests to campus for school events, athletic contests, and other functions. Officers are required to assist guests on campus with parking and directions. Officers will provide transportation on campus for guests as requested. Officers are also required to respond to and/or report any known problems or emergencies. Officers will also be available to provide transportation off campus to airports, train stations, and other destinations as needed.
    Community Relations
    Officers are required to provide support to the campus community by establishing positive and collaborative relations within the community. Officers are encouraged to engage in appropriate conversations with community members, proactively assist with problem-solving, and educate them about campus safety and security.
    Administrative Functions
    Officers are required to document and report all campus activity and incidents to a senior officer in charge. Officers are required to attend training on or off campus as scheduled. Officers are required to assist with the completion of other office or event-related duties as assigned.
    Conduct
    Officers are required to behave in a professional, respectful, and ethical manner at all times. Officers are required to comply with all Eaglebrook School policies, as well as the Safety & Security departmental policies. Officers are to maintain the confidentiality of all daily activity logs, completed reports, and other shared information.Pay Range $20 - $24/hour
     
    DESIRED SKILLS
    • 1-3 years of customer service-based experience
    • Have the ability to effectively interact with adults, adolescents, and children
    • Ability to demonstrate reliability and work as a team member
    • Ability to learn and operate internet and mobile-based applications and email
    • Ability to effectively work in high-stress situations
    • Ability to be outdoors in all weather conditions for long periods of time
    • First Responder and CPR/AED preferred
    • Valid driver’s license required
    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    The Position
    Prepare and serve meals to Eaglebrook students and faculty by following recipes while observing regulated sanitation protocols and standards. Responsible for proper processing or disposing of returned food. Clean and sanitize food prep stations and surfaces. Maintain a sense of urgency and understanding of when tasks must be complete. When necessary aid in all other areas of the dining services. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

    Responsibilities and Duties
    • Maintains a clean and orderly work station in the kitchen to the standards set by the department.
    • Aware and capable of addressing special dietary needs properly.
    • Receives and stocks inventory, rotates products and alerts of products to order.
    • Follows standardized recipes to prepare and expedite food for meal service’s.
    • Washes dishes, cleans and sanitizes food surfaces, empties trash and cleans the floor after every service.
    • Aids in dining hall setup/cleanup. 
    Qualifications
    • Three years experience in a high volume food service establishment.
    • Knife skills and knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
    • Basic baking concepts.
    • Works well with others and has the ability to follow direction with competence and understanding.
    • Displays an attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
    • Provides a current Servsafe certificate.
    • Ability to lift thirty pounds.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Fully vaccinated for Covid-19.
    • Ability to Pass a CORI Background Check
    Pay Range $18 - $26/hour
