Eaglebrook Hosts Bement, Deerfield JVs for Nick Whyte Invitational
DEERFIELD, Mass. – February 10, 2024 – Eaglebrook hosted the annual Nick Whyte Invitational swim meet at the Schwab Family Pool on Saturday, with the Eagles competing against Bement and Deerfield Academy’s JV squad.
The meet features a special format where all swimmers participate in the 50-meter butterfly, 50-meter breaststroke, 50-meter freestyle, and 100-meter individual medley.
Alex Li ‘25, G.D. Lee ‘24, and Saxon G. ‘25 were the top finishers among boys. Riley S. ‘27 and Rose M. ‘24 finished in the top 10 on the girl’s side.
The meet honors Nick Whyte ‘99, who excelled at swimming and football at Eaglebrook and was killed in Iraq in 2006 while serving as a lance corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps.
