Eaglebrook Varsity Starts 2024 Season with Win against Indian Mountain
DEERFIELD, Mass. – April 7, 2024 – Eaglebrook Varsity Tennis opened their 2024 season with a match against Indian Mountain School. After wolfing down some lunch in the gym, figuring out our uniforms, and adjusting to our new (and awesome) baby blue hats, the great eight headed over to the courts for warmups.
After learning the ropes of team introductions, the Brookies hit the courts for doubles. Utilizing pairings picked by the players, each of the four partnerships made it comfortably through their matches. While we are finding our way to play together (which will take weeks), it was an excellent start to the day!
The eight singles matches were equally decisive. Granted, Indian Mountain was missing their number-one player for the day, our players earned their victories with smart play and plenty of hustle!
This Wednesday the Eagles visit NMH, and then Fessenden comes to campus on Friday. So far, so good!
